HOST returns to SweetBox for a second single, with his signature and ruthless approach to beats...
Harry Taylor, known better as HOST, isn't messing around anymore. Since last appearing on the label with Pink N Blues in May 2016 he has been churning out intense beats like a factory earning himself more releases and huge support from Noisia, Hyroglifics and more.
Flying Saucers borrows influence from the USA's pool of creative beats producers whilst injecting a healthy dose of UK flavour. An almost tribal rhythm dominates what could be the soundtrack to an alien invasion of the great plains.
On the flip lives M-Bone, an eerie and sinister affair which quickly erupts into an explosion of pitched percussion, low end pressure and HOST's unforgiving half time grooves.

This album is an enjoyable paradox, caught not just between jungle and halftime, but rather, both extremes concurrently. I'm not sure whether to slide these tunes into a hip-hop set, or break it down from a d'n'b set. This unsure feeling of speed subversion and beat delusion... I love it. DJ Home Movies
